Leadership

We very much believe that everyone has a part to play in the life of our church. There are always opportunities for people to get involved and join in whatever we are doing.

Having said that, we also recognize that God calls some to lead us in our joint adventure in God.

At present our pastor is Gary Brown. Gary hails from Whitehaven and has a real vision to see West Cumbria won for Jesus and has a Bachelor of Divinity honours degree from London University. He is supported by his wife Fiona, who’s Mum and Dad led the church for some 18 years from 1977 until 1995, Fiona serves the music ministry as well as looking after 3 fantastic kids.

However, we do not believe that one man should do all the work; indeed the Bible tells us that every Christian is a minister and has a part to play in the church. So Gary and Fiona are supported in their work by a leadership team.

The leadership team, drawn from different backgrounds, give New Life Church a base for stability and vision on which everyone in the church can build together.

The leadership team currently consists of the elders along with their wives:

Most of all we are committed to seeing everyone who is part of new life church enjoying their Christian life and fulfilling their own God-given ministry.
